Redemption from the Curse-Part 1

redeemed1.jpg

Why is there a curse in the earth? What event opened the door for the curse? Who is the author of the curse, and who allowed it to enter the earth? What is the curse? Galatians 3:13 told us that Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law. Two translations render the verse, “Christ redeemed us from the curse pronounced in the law”. What does that mean? Does redemption affect us automatically when we receive and confess Jesus as our Lord? We begin to answer these questions and more with this first podcast. Don’t miss this life-changing 10-part series! Be mightily blessed!

Does God Ordain All Human Government?

capitol-building.jpg

Part 1

This article will strike at the heart of some long-cherished beliefs and upend some wrong theology in the church. The only way to correct these ideas is with the clear teaching of God’s Word. So, here we go!

“They (people)have set up kings, but not by Me (the Lord): they have made princes, and I knew it not”(Hosea 8:4a NASB- parenthesis are from me to clarify).

People put some kings and princes in power without following God’s will or plan! What a shocking and controversial statement! Can government officials be set in place by people and not by God's direction or authority? The answer is, “Yes,” according to the Word of the Lord through the prophet Hosea. God did not put all leaders in authority. There are kings, prime ministers, and presidents that God had nothing to do with their election, and in fact, people put them into that position of authority. God had NOTHING to do with many leaders being elected.

That is a shocker to many traditional beliefs, but there it is in Hosea. Believe it!

Many believe that God ordained all government to rule over mankind. Everybody points to Romans 13 as his or her theological position on governmental authority as ordained of God. Some believe that we should always submit to government authorities even if they are evil. We will look at that passage in part 2 of this series. The interpretation many have given Romans 13:1-7 is in opposition to many scriptures in the Bible. Hosea 8:4 is just one of them.

The government may be an institution in and of itself, but those that govern within it define the government. Bad leaders make the government bad, and good leaders make the government good. The institution of government has no life of its own. That is why we must work to get good elected officials into our American government. It is not the form of government as much as it is who is charge!

What kind of government does God want?

Some have the belief that God institutes a particular form of government, but there are many varieties of government. There are democracies, republics, democratic republics, aristocracies, dictatorships, monarchies, socialist republics, communist states, theocracies, and numerous other types of governments.

In the Bible, we usually see monarchies. Today, we see other forms of government. In the West, we tend to think that democracy is the greatest. Actually, democracy is very bad IF you have perverted leaders.

What type of government would God approve? Democracy? Republic? Monarchy? Theocracy? Socialist Republic? The answer is simple. The type of government approved by God is that government where His principles, commandments, ordinances, and instructions reign supreme, and all others are weeded out and discarded. All others are on shaky ground with Him.

In the Scriptures, we see good and bad monarchies in First and Second Kings and Chronicles. They were always defined by their leadership and not by the “form” of government. Those that followed God found His favor. Evil monarchies were considered damnable because they led the people into idolatry (false religion) and abominable practices such as harlotry, adultery, homosexuality, theft, and many other violations of God’s commandments. Read THE Book!

The leaders make the government good or bad according to what they do and how they lead the people.Good leaders would lead the people towards God, and evil leaders would lead the people away from God. Again, a government administers life or death according to its leaders.

Evil people appointed to government office

Evil people with an abhorrent agenda have been appointed to government offices throughout world history. Some got their leadership roles through unjust wars, murder, theft, or by usurping power in some other way. God was not behind their rise to power! Some were cruel despots from the start of their reigns of terror, but some were initially seen as saviors and later showed who they really were. The wolves came out of the sheep’s clothing, and the bad trees showed what they were by their evil fruits (Matthew 7:15-20)................

Does that interest you? You don't want to miss the study on Romans 13:1-7, 1 Timothy 2:1-4, Proverbs 21:1, and other misunderstood verses in this document. This is a five part, 23-page series on one free PDF, and you can download it below.

Do You Want To Really Live? Part 2

really_want_to_live-part2.jpg

I am not asking the world this question. The world needs to come to Jesus FIRST before any of this can be applied to them. After they make Jesus Lord, now comes the question: Do you want to really live? The Scripture tells us exactly what is required! Listen first to part one of this short two-part series. Download part 2 using the button below after my free book and PDF offers.

Be blessed! Glory to God!

Do you have questions about grace, law, faith, and the commandments? Are these things being taught correctly at your church? The following two free resources will answer truckloads of questions, and set you free!

en-Commandments.jpg

What are you hearing at your church? Are you being taught that biblical commandments are unnecessary to regulate Christian behavior under grace? Is your pastor telling you that you no longer have to obey the commandments of God, and that it is ONLY love and grace now? Are we to "X" out all commandments today? What do pastors mean when they say that the church is ONLY under the commandment of love? Why are many churches rejecting God’s commandments? Is this the revelation of the hour?

What are the consequences of denying biblical commandments? Do you know what is happening to churches that preach a gospel that denies all moral commandments as recorded in nine (9) of the Ten Commandments, and all over the Bible? Why is lawlessness running rampant in so many sectors of the church? Why have adultery, fornication, homosexuality, pedophilia, theft, covetousness, occult practices, idolatry, and many other immoral activities spread into many churches? Could it have something to do with the denial, rejection, minimizing, or replacing of God’s moral laws revealed in Scripture? You bet it does!

It is truly amazing to me that pastors often don't see the correlation between loose morals in their churches and their lack of teaching the moral commandments of God. Faith in God's moral guidelines also comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). I've been in churches where year after you year nothing is taught about God's moral guidelines. I am not exaggerating!

This free 62 page PDF, “Did the Grace of God Cancel Biblical Commandments” will teach you WHY Christians MUST obey MORAL commandments according to the New Testament! We also teach you WHY Christians are NOT subject to CEREMONIAL commandments that were meant ONLY for Israel. This is vital information for pastors, churches, and the entire Body of Christ! Don't be deceived! Download this free 62 page PDF using this link. It fills in some gaps in our book, "Faith that Receives the Grace of God." They compliment each other, and they are completely free of charge. Be mightily blessed!

Faith that Receives the Grace of God is so important for you and me right now! There is an abundance of strange teaching in the area of grace. Grace has become for many a proposition "sin all you want without accountability", and a "do-nothing to receive from God." Grace for many is a rejection of Biblical moral commandments, and for others it is a denial of the words of Jesus. Grace, when it is in its right place Scripturally, is beautiful, abundant, and powerful, but it can be misused and misapplied. Unfortunately, grace is often taught wrongly. Instead of amazing grace, it has become gross, devilish, pseudo “grease” and not the Blood-bought-grace taught in the New Testament! This book was written so the Biblical perspective on faith and grace could be clearly presented by using verses in their context and according to the intent of the writers of the New Testament. If you have questions in this area, this free 266-page book is for you. Download the free PDF file here.

From the Back Cover:

A Call to Return—Restoring the Roots of Our Relationship with Jesus explores the depths of the Scriptures to excavate, refine, and lift up its words of power, revealing deep truths that will radically change the lives of believers. By tapping into this rich vein of biblical insight, Dan Alan Rodriguez offers Christians the insights to enable them to set out upon paths of discipleship that follow Jesus closely and that lead to profound experiences of His presence and power.

Drawing upon the author’s study of first-century Judaism and Christianity and resting upon a diverse array of sources steeped in the foundational texts of these traditions, the twelve chapters of A Call to Return address a series of interlocking topics: a prophetic call to return; the revival of lawlessness; the revival, purpose, and preexistence of God’s commandments; the church’s commandments and their connections to faith, grace, and good works; the association of works of the law to Jewish tradition and ceremony; holiness; the fear of the Lord; each believer as a temple of the holy; and the meaning of loving the Lord Jesus.

If you have a sense that Jesus’s message and ministry are calling you to embark upon a walk with Him that might take you away from all in Christianity that requires no accountability or responsibility before God, then A Call to Return—Restoring the Roots of Our Relationship with Jesus is the right book for you to read. It will give you the keys for understanding and responding to the Lord’s call to return to Him and to follow where He leads.

Do You Want To Really Live? Part 1

Do you really want to live?

For the one who wants to love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from uttering deceitAnd he must turn away from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue itFor the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous and his ears are open to their prayerBut the Lord’s face is against those who do evil. (1 Peter 3:10-12)

What a declaration, and Peter is quoting the Hebrew Scripture from Psalms 34:12-16!

The New English Translation from Psalms 34:10, the same verse Peter quotes in 1 Peter 3:10, asks the questions:

Do you want to really live? Would you love to live a long, happy life?

Well, do you really want to live? Then we should pay close attention to the instructions David and Peter are emphasizing here! That is what we do in this two-part series. Don’t miss them, and be blessed by them!

The podcast button is found at the end of this page after the book announcement.

What are the Basic Commandments of God?

BACKTOBASICS2.jpg

Why do I spend so much time talking about the commandments of God?

It's simple.

Most Spirit-filled churches have neglected to teach God's moral commandments! That lack has caused many churches to be morally deficient, and they are on a downward spiral into the abyss of ungodliness. Immorality runs rampant in some churches! If you don't know that, then you are isolated or are sticking your head in the sand!

Faith for obeying God's moral guidelines can only come by hearing and hearing the Word of God on the subject! (Romans 10:16, 17 NKJV) People have had little faith that leads to obedience in this area of God's moral guidelines because of little to no preaching under the anointing to teach this mighty subject!

Sometimes, to strike a balance, one has to spend MORE time on a subject than one would IF the subject were being taught. This is the situation today. I have been to churches for years and rarely ever heard anything about God's moral guidelines. So, this is a part of my mission. I have to teach what the Lord gives me for the church, and a part of it has to do with God's moral commandments.

In some quarters, teaching obedience to the moral commandments of God is a rejected subject because of wrong ideas and teachings on grace. There is a crazy, ungodly, hyper, pseudo-grace movement in Christianity that is an abomination before God. There are preachers turning the grace of God into lasciviousness (meaning "loose living"- see Jude 1:4 NET- “a license for evil or NKJV-lewdness”).

Don't be deceived! Get informed! Get it right in your heart and thinking with the free resources below!

I cover things in this new article that I haven't covered on the subject before. Here are a few excerpts from this NEW article:

"Do you know what God commands you and me to do? Of course, we are commanded to believe (trust and obey) in Jesus and His great sacrifice. That is first, but after you come to Jesus and make Him your Lord, then what? If you will follow this teaching closely, and look up the numerous Scripture references, you will be enlightened and empowered to live for Jesus Christ. This is not a complete list, but it is a basic starting point. Be blessed!"

"Following is a list of the Ten Commandments with the exception of the commandment to keep the Sabbath. Why don’t I include the Sabbath as mandatory when teaching Christians? The Sabbath was instituted as one of the covenant requirements for Israel, and for them alone. The Sabbath was never commanded to any other nation or people except Israel........."

Find out more in this NEW free PDF!

"............Below are quoted the Ten Commandments from Exodus 20:1-7, 12-17 (NET),[1]with the exception of the Sabbath. Then, I give you references to where these commandments can be found in the New Testament..............."

Find out more in this NEW free PDF!

".............Are these commandments valid today for Christians? Obviously, they are valid today from the many verses I gave you from the New Testament. Some very foolish people deny their relevance. How should we understand this? Should we reject or replace God’s commandments? We should NEVER do that, according to Jesus, Paul, and the rest of the NEW TESTAMENT!.............."

"NOTE:

[1]See also Deuteronomy 5:7-21."

The “Knock Them Off Their High Horse And Blind Them” Anointing!

Knocked_off_his_horse.jpg

O Lord, fight those who fight with me! Attack those who attack me! (Psalms 35:1 NET)

What do you do when you are innocent of charges against you, and someone, or a group of people, attack, smear, slander, speak evil, give false testimony, and attempt to destroy your life? The temptation is to take vengeance into your own hands.

“Let’s crack some heads!”

Wrong decision!

Even though it may feel good to get a baseball bat and beat them to a pulp for their slander against you, there is a better and more productive way. There is a God in heaven that despises it when the righteous are harassed and persecuted. It angers God when people try to attack and hurt the innocent, and He will take vengeance into His own hands and repay the accusers.

Do not avenge yourselves, dear friends, but give place to God’s wrath, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. (Romans 12:19 NET)

Yes, Paul wrote about this truth. Give room for God to get angry (have wrath) about it. Let Him have His vengeance. Believe it. Trust Him in it.

Paul said even more about this little-taught subject.

For it is right for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you.(2 Thessalonians 1:6 NET)

God will repay those that afflict you! That frees you up. Let God be the “heavy” in it. You can pray for those that persecute you and you can bless them (Romans 12:14-21). Why? Vengeance is not yours. No worries here. Vengeance is the Lord’s. He gets angry about it and pays them for the evil they have brought against you. Leave it in His hands.

Yes Lord, get them! I can hear the sacred cows screaming in agony. Religious ideas are dying right now....

Part 3: Entering Into Life- According to Jesus: The Narrow Way vs. the Broad Way

entering_into_life-narrow_vs_broad_way-Part_3.jpg

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7:13, 14 NKJV).

No, it is not via the “broadway” of the world that leads to eternal life. Life is entered into only via the NARROW gate.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me (John 14:6 NKJV).

Jesus taught that He was and is the way, the truth, and the life. He insisted He was the ONLY way to God the Father. He never proposed a “many ways to God” ideology!

Oprah, the gurus, and deceived ministers may say that Jesus is one of the many ways to God, but He said He was the only way to the Father. You may think that is very “narrow”. Yes, VERY narrow! I may be narrow, but I am saved, and entering into life!

The path to life is first coming into a relationship with God and His Son Jesus, and then keeping His moral commandments. We saw that from the story of the rich young ruler in Matthew 19:16-21, from the book of Revelation 12:17, 14:12, and from other verses.

This final podcast in this series will again be an “aha!” moment in the Scripture. Download it listen to the podcast by using the button after my book announcements.

Be blessed through the Study of God’s Word!
