What do I Believe?

April 10, 2020

I believe in God the Father and His eternal Word, in Jesus the Son, the full substitutionary sacrifice of Jesus with its mighty provisions, the mighty work of the Holy Spirit, and the soon coming King! That is the short version.

Following are a more detailed version in English and Spanish.

Hebrews 6:1-2 teaches us the fundamental principles of Christ:

1. Repentance from dead works (repentance from the works of sin, rebellion, iniquity, etc.)- 1 John 1:8-10; Proverbs 28:13; Luke 13:3, 5.

2. Faith (trust, confidence, faithfulness, obedience) towards God– Hebrews 11:1-40; Mark 11:22-25.

3. Teaching on the instruction of God’s Word (2 Timothy 3:15, 4:2) on:

4. Baptisms-In Christ: Galatians 3:27; Romans 6:3. In water: Mark 16:16; Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:1-24. In the Holy Spirit: Luke 3:16; Acts 10:44-46, 19:1-6.

5. Laying on of hands; to impart blessing, minister healing, and separate unto the call of God for ministry- Matthew 19:13-15; Luke 4:40; Mark 16:17-18; Acts 3:3-6, 13:1-3.

6. Resurrection of the dead– 1 Corinthians 15:1-58.

7. Eternal judgment that involves eternal recompense for the righteous and eternal condemnation for the wicked – Revelation 20:11-15, 21:1-27.

Additionally:

WE BELIEVE the Bible or the written Word of God is the truth and the maximum authority to base our faith, conduct, teaching, and doctrine (1 Pet.1:23-25; Jn. 17:17; 2 Ti. 3:15-17, 4:2).

WE BELIEVE in one God manifested to us as the Father, in His Son, and through the Holy Spirit. See Mark 12:29; Deut. 6:4-5; Eph. 4:5-6; Mat. 28:19; Jn. 1:1-3, 14, chapters 16 & 17; Ro. 8:9-11; 2 Cor. 3:17; 1 Tim. 3:16.

WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, God manifested in the flesh, that He came to this earth in a physical body, lived among us, died on the cross, shed His eternal blood for our sins, was raised from the dead, is seated at the right hand of God, and He is the Savior of the world. See Jn. 1:1-3, 14, 3:14-18; 1 Tim. 3:16, and we also believe that salvation is received by placing our faith (confidence, trust, and faithfulness) on what He did through His great substitutionary sacrifice, and by confessing Him as the Lord over our lives. See also 1 Cor. 15:1-4; Efe. 1:19-23, 2:8-10; Heb. 9:12; 1 Pet. 1:18-19; Rev.1:18; Rom. 3:21-26, 10:9-10.

WE BELIEVE that water baptism demonstrates our identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. Baptism is a public testimony that we have ceased to live the old life of sin and rebellion against the will of God, and that we enter into a new life of consecration and obedience to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. See Romans 6:1-23

WE BELIEVE in the baptism (or infilling or fullness) of the Holy Spirit, speaking in other tongues, the supernatural manifestations of the Holy Spirit, and the function today of the ministry gifts as called and anointed by the Lord Jesus. See Luke 3:16, 24:49; 1 Cor. chapters 12 through 14; Acts 1:8, 2:4, 10:44-46, 19:6; Ef. 4:11-16; Rom. 12:4-8.

WE BELIEVE in partaking of the Lord’s Supper or the Communion Table as an act of remembering, embracing, and receiving from what the Lord Jesus did for us through His great and awesome sacrifice. See 1 Cor. 11:23-32; Isaiah 53:1-12.

WE BELIEVE that Christians are not required to keep the ritual or ceremonial commandments of God given only for Israel, but that ALL believers are under obligation to keep all the MORAL commandments that teach us to live a sanctified life. The correct combination for the believer is keeping God’s moral commandments AND holding steadfastly to his/her faith in Jesus Christ. See Rev. 12:17, 14:12; 1 Cor. 7:19; Rom. 13:9, 10; Mat. 19:17-21; John 13:34, 14:21-23. We affirm, ratify, and practice the scriptural teachings of sanctification, consecration, Godly character, and a life marked by moral purity. See Efe. chapters 4, 5 and 6; Col. chapter 3; 1 Thes. 4:1-8; 1 Pet. 1:14-17; Mat. 6:33.

WE BELIEVE and practice the great commission as given by our Lord Jesus in Mark 16:15-18. He still confirms His Word with the accompanying signs (Mark 16:20).

WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ will physically return to earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords for His millennial reign, and then He will reign forever and ever in the new heavens and the new earth. See Rev. 19:11-16, chapters 20 through 22; 1 Thes. 4:13-18; 1 Cor. 15:51-55; Luke 21:25-28; Mat. 25:31-46.

1. Arrepentimiento de obras muertas (arrepentimiento de obras de pecado, iniquidad, maldad, rebeldía) - 1 Juan 1:8-10; Proverbios 28:13; Lucas 13:3, 5.

2. Fe (certeza, confianza, fidelidad, obediencia) en Dios– Hebreos 11:1-40; Marcos 11:22-25.

___________

Has anyone ever told you that God loves you and that He has a wonderful plan for your life? I have a real quick, but important question to ask you. If you were to die this very second, do you know for sure, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you would go to Heaven?

Let me quickly share with you what the Holy Bible reads. It reads “for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” and “for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”. The Bible also reads, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved”. And you’re a “whosoever” right? Of course you are; all of us are.

I’m going to say a quick prayer for you. Lord, bless the person reading this and his/her family with long and healthy lives. Jesus, make Yourself real to him/her and do a quick work in his/her heart. If If you have not received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, I pray you will do so now.

If you would like to receive the gift that God has for you today, say this after me with your heart and lips out loud.

"Dear Lord Jesus, come into my heart. Forgive me of my sin. Wash me and cleanse me. Set me free. Jesus, thank You that You died for me. I believe that You are risen from the dead and that You’re coming back again for me. Fill me with the Holy Spirit. Give me a passion for the lost, a hunger for the things of God and a holy boldness to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. I’m saved; I’m born again, I’m forgiven and I’m on my way to Heaven because I have Jesus in my heart."

As a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, I tell you today that all of your sins are forgiven. Always remember to run to God and not from God because He loves you and has a great plan for your life.

Contact me and let me know you received Jesus as Lord and Savior!

Let him who receives instruction in the Word [of God] share all good things with his teacher [contributing to his support].(Galatians 6:6 Amplified Bible)

If we have sown [the seed of] spiritual good among you, [is it too] much if we reap from your material benefits? (1 Corinthians 9:11 (Amplified Bible)

God is able to make every good and perfect gift come to you as you give. He has abundance in mind for the generous giver because He wants such a one to be a conduit to continue being generous. Believe it! Where is that in Scripture? Look closely at 2 Corinthians 9:6-11  in a few versions, but here is the Amplified Bible version.

Now [remember] this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows generously [that blessings may come to others] will also reap generously [and be blessed]. Let each one give [thoughtfully and with purpose] just as he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver [and delights in the one whose heart is in his gift].(A) And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity. As it is written and forever remains written, He [the benevolent and generous person] scattered abroad, he gave to the poor, His righteousness endures forever!”(B) 10 Now He who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will provide and multiply your seed for sowing [that is, your resources] and increase the harvest of your righteousness [which shows itself in active goodness, kindness, and love].(C) 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you may be generous, and this [generosity, administered] through us is producing thanksgiving to God [from those who benefit].

Let that sink in, and note how giving and God's blessing on the giver are revealed in those verses. Wow!

God loves a cheerful giver; He delights in those whose heart is their gift!

Be mightily blessed as you give generously!
